As the above numbers represent, Montreal was amazing. And that was just one night. During the day we went to Olympic Park and up in the cool tower they built just for the Olympics. I wanted to go in and see the beautiful turf the Expos used to play on, but it was all locked up. I was so close to following a guided tour into the building, but I don't like getting in trouble.
We also went to the Biodome. They had penguins, but other than that it was a tad disappointing. I saw seagulls everyday in San Diego, and I see ducks all the time at Occoquan.
One night we went down to the waterfront and saw some fireworks and it was so beautiful. Montreal has a perfect mix of old school buildings with cool architecture and modern skyscrapers. Also, Chinatown in French speaking Canada is quite an experience.
The first night we were there I had a margarita and a Corona. I wasn't drunk at all, but beer really makes my head hurt. So as I was drinking my beer, the waiter asked where I was from. I told him America.
For the record, no one works in Montreal. EVERYONE is ALWAYS on the street. I have never seen so many people in one place, all the time. There are always people in Montreal. In summary, Montreal was really fun and I probably left out a lot of details.
Sunday I saw June, Days Away, Plain White-T's, and The Academy Is...It was a really good show, with a really good crowd for once! Days Away, though, is bad. Don't see them. The bands were from Chicago! Maybe that's why the show was good!
Monday, though, was the real show. Q And Not U is breaking up. *Sad Face* So we went to go see them play in the park! It was such a cool outdoor setting with so many people and I danced! I even convinced my sister to go.
